Cherry Pie

So we are all aware by now how much I enjoy finding recipes and then adapting them and then making them and posting about it! I’m not perfect. I change things up. This is not because I do not trust the recipe itself it’s just because I always want more!!

So here’s Cherry Pie for y’all!

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Starting with pitting the cherries. About 1 bag of them.1/4 cup of Corn Starch into the cherries.2/3 cup White Sugar into the bowl.1/2 a lemons juice. 1 tsp of Vanilla extract. A little bit of salt.Toss to combine.YUMMY!!!With refrigerated pie crusts at the ready, recipe for later, fit them to the pie pan and throw on ion the cherry mixture!Cut up 1 TBSP of cold butter and spread them out over the top of the cherries.Seal it up with the second pie crust. This pie happened to be for a friend named Sam. So that explains why Sam is carved onto the top where the air holes would be! 🙂

Bake at 400 for 20 minutes then reduce to 350 for 30-40 minutes or when you see the top is golden brown and its bubbling oh so heavenly!
I love myself a great Cherry Pie recipe! You need to try it! For the full recipe go to: http://www.inspiredtaste.net/22872/easy-cherry-pie-recipe/
