So we are all aware by now how much I enjoy finding recipes and then adapting them and then making them and posting about it! I’m not perfect. I change things up. This is not because I do not trust the recipe itself it’s just because I always want more!!
So here’s Cherry Pie for y’all!
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Starting with pitting the cherries. About 1 bag of them.1/4 cup of Corn Starch into the cherries.
2/3 cup White Sugar into the bowl.
1/2 a lemons juice. 1 tsp of Vanilla extract. A little bit of salt.
Toss to combine.
YUMMY!!!
With refrigerated pie crusts at the ready, recipe for later, fit them to the pie pan and throw on ion the cherry mixture!
Cut up 1 TBSP of cold butter and spread them out over the top of the cherries.
Seal it up with the second pie crust. This pie happened to be for a friend named Sam. So that explains why Sam is carved onto the top where the air holes would be! 🙂
Bake at 400 for 20 minutes then reduce to 350 for 30-40 minutes or when you see the top is golden brown and its bubbling oh so heavenly!
I love myself a great Cherry Pie recipe! You need to try it! For the full recipe go to: http://www.inspiredtaste.net/22872/easy-cherry-pie-recipe/
