Sourdough Starter {EASY}

Who doesn’t love a good loaf of Sourdough Bread? I have become more and more of a fan of making bread lately and this starter recipe/process is the reason why… It’s the easiest 5 day process I have ever had to go through and that is saying a lot…
Day 1

Do this step 2 times. Once in the morning once in the evening. At least 6 hours apart. 1/4 cup water & 1/4 cup flour whisk them together in a container with a lid. Don’t cover it. Let it sit out of the fridge. Day 2 Repeat all of Step 1.

Day 3 Do nothing to it just take a wiff… you’ll be amazed it is probably already smelling a bit.

Day 4

It’s gonna start getting a liquid at the top separating from the actual starter. Pour that out. (The liquid) Then Add 1/4 cup of flour and 1/4 cup flour. Only do this step once a day for the remainder 3 Days. Day 7 There’s that liquid again. Dump it! Now really take that wiff!! It’s gonna be sour be prepared!!

Now TaDa! It’s ready to use!! Keep that lid around and put it on for storage in the fridge when your starter isn’t in use. I have one starter in the fridge at all times and then the one I’m working with in the kitchen! Refill as necessary with the same process of 1/4 cup flour and water.
