Cinnamon Rasin Sourdough Bread 

I have a real love for bread. I have an even truer love to breakfast bread. Since Sourdough Starter is now something I can create I have been busy testing and making all that I can! (I even have 2 jars of it going on to make sure I have enough at anytime 😝)

This is the awesome recipe I found for Sourdough Cinnamon Rasin Bread 😍 I couldn’t be more full of joy you guys… I truly truly couldn’t….


  • 3 1/2 cups Bread Flour
  • 1 cup Sourdough starter
  • 2 teaspoons Salt
  • 3 Tablespoons Coconut Sugar
  • 1 cup Water
  • 2 Tablespoons Cinnamon
  • 1 1/4 cup Rasins
  • 1/4 cup Maple Syrup
  • 1 Tablespoon Butter

In a stand mixer mix together Flour, Salt, Sugar. Then start adding Sourdough Starter and Water. Let mixture rise overnight. (The longer the rise the sourer the bread. AKA AMAZING)

In the morning punch down the dough. Dump out onto floured surface and and roll it out to a thin rectangle. Sprinkle and smear Cinnamon over entire surface of dough leaving a 1/2 inch of clean dough from the edge. Cover with Rasins. Drizzle with Maple Syrup.

Take top of dough and fold down in thirds. Then fold gently in half. Lay down into bread pan seam side up into melted 1 tablespoon of butter. Gently flip seam side down. Let rise for another 4 hours. Bake at 400 degrees in preheated oven for 30 minutes. Cool completely on a wire rack and enjoy!

I can’t tell you enough how much I love this recipe! It takes forever but it’s delicious! And… well… worth… the… wait… 😆

(Also, this bread loaf does come out pretty huge! So before I roll it out in the morning I like to separate it into two parts and make two smaller loaves of bread. Usually a neighbor gets the other and all end up happier.)
