DIY Lavender Sugar Scrub

In my Emily’s Ardor Etsy Shop I have truly loved making and selling these sugar scrubs. Lately I have been really wanting to show everyone though how amazingly simple it is to create these yourself! I am almost obsessed with it! It’s so simple and I’m sure it’s not a great business model at all but I love showing you how to make these and give you the chance to make your own! The sky is the limit with these bad boy and you can honestly create them in a jiff once you get them down!

I have some Lavender plants and Aloe plants that I’m usually harvesting from that make this particular scrub easy peasy and a friend and family favorite to get from me.

Ingredients and Materials:

1/4 cup dried lavender flower
about a stem of aloe
2 cups raw sugar
1/2 cup of your favorite carrier oil (For this one I used Sweet Almond but you can use whatever you have on hand. EX: Coconut Oil Olive Oil, Grapeseed Oil, ect.)
a medium sized bowl
a spoon
1 or 2 pretty jars you want for storage of scrub

I always lay down my sugar first. I always feel like it mixes better and easier when you lay down the heaviest part first. Then goes in the oil, lavender, and aloe.Remember when pulling out the aloe from the stalk (Stalk? Is it an aloe stalk?) I always cut the aloe in half long ways and use a spoon to scoop out all the aloe goodness. It looks and feels like jelly if you have never touched it or seen it before… Then you just stir stir stir it on up till it all looks constant. Then take your pretty jars and jar this beautiful smelling mess on up! I really do love using this scrub. I swear it never stays in my bathroom long.
