Well happy happy 13th day of BlogMas!
There’s something about a salad in the winter that just doesn’t feel right to me but living in Southern California it’s pretty amazing.
Cold food in a not that cold climate during the coldest time of the year… Just sounds weird. So so weird.
But this salad! I wait all year for pears so this salad could be the most perfect thing. The ingredients and assembly is all so simple too that it makes it easy to whip up during one of our normal California December Heat Waves.
What you need for the salad:
- 2 sliced Pears
- 1 container of Arugula
- 1/4 cup chopped Pecans
- 3 Tablespoons crumbled Goat Cheese
- 1 Orange juiced
- 1 Lemon juiced
- 1 Lime juiced
- 1 smashed clove of Garlic
- 1 tablespoon Balsamic Oil
- 3 tablespoons Olive Oil
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons Dijon Mustard
- 1 finely chopped Hot Pepper (I use Serrano)
