On the 20th day of BlogMas Emily have to me… A super yummy recipe for Cranberry Balsamic Sauce. I found this wonderful recipe last year around this time and I was so happy I used it with everything. Now I still do!
I first heard it on a Podcast with “Living Homegrown”. I loove these Podcasts from her!
The recipe is:
- 1/2 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
- 1 1/2 cups white sugar
- 12 oz bag of cranberries
- 1 tsp orange rind
- 1/2 tsp butter
- 1 TBSP balsamic oil
Over medium high heat in a medium sized pan heat the sugar and orange juice. Stir consistently till sugar dissolves. Add in the rest of the remaining ingredients. Once it starts foaming and the cranberries are bursting add in about a 1/2 tsp of butter. Turn off heat and scrap off foam. Once cooled add to two half pint mason jars. Clean off edges and add the lids. Don’t close all of the way until you here the pops go down.
I hope this recipe turns into one of your favorites too one day! I promise it’s worth it and works great as a holiday or host gift!
Make sure you give it look before your next holiday get together! It’s amazing with everything!
Living. Loving. Eating.
