Apple, Peach, Pear and Pecan Pie

On the Husband’s birthday he always wants a pie instead of cake.

And as much as I love Apple Pie I needed something a little extra. AND when you have the lack of apples like I did because of COVID shopping restrictions you gotta get creative.

Basic Pie Crust

  • Crust • (I used my go to Basic Pie Crust Recipe in the link above.)
  • Filling •
  • 2 peaches
  • 1 pear
  • 1 Large apple
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • Topping •
  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp of nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup cold butter
  • 1/3 cup chopped pecans
  1. Preheat oven to 375. Lay pie crust into a glass pie pan and press and crumps edges.
  2. In a large bowl lightly mix sliced peaches, apple and the pear.
  3. In a separate small bowl mix dry ingredients together. Slowly incorporate dry ingredients into fruit mix. Pour in pie crust.
  4. In another small bowl mix together topping ingredients, except the pecans, and cut in the butter. Gently stir in pecans and evenly sprinkle topping onto pie.
  5. Bake pie for 45-55 minutes till the pie looks golden brown all over the top. After the first 20 minutes of baking line the edges of the pie if they start browning too quickly.
  6. Allow to cool and serve!

He loved it. I loved it! He told a neighbor about it and he asked how soon he could come over to get a piece. I’ve e honestly never had so much pride in a pie in my life. Other than maybe like my first one ever…

Living. Loving. Baking.
