
SAY WHAT!? Yes, you heard me…
Beef.
Jerky. Recipe. It’s delicious. It’s amazing. I’m so happy I now can make jerky myself and it’s now always in my purse as an I.C.E snack. (Which I always need!)
Ingredients Needed
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons onion powder
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 1 pound thinly sliced beef
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon Oak Sea Salt (Or any salt)
- 1 Tablespoon Liquid smoke
- 3 Tablespoons Soy Sauce
- Coffee to cover
Lay the meat in a bowl with all of the seasonings and liquids and let it marinate and rest for 2 Days in the fridge. Once 2 Days is up pull out meat and cut it into thin jerky like strips. Lay them on a greased pan and stick in a 150 degree oven for 4 hours. I prop the oven open during the cooking time with a wooden spoon. Your house will smell amazing and get pretty warm this way. But 150 is as low my oven will go so I need the extra coolness. I have no idea why… it’s science. After 4 hours is up I close the oven and turn off the heat and let it sit for another hour. I like my jerky crispy. If you don’t take it out and skip that step. And then TA DA! It’s done! Bag it up and be ready for snack time! Or anytime… I seriously love this stuff and we cannot stop eating it once the bag is opened to be honest! 😂
