Ohhh the rain… El Niño always brings rain. In Southern California we have a weather system that comes through every winter that brings rain. Sometimes lots and lots and more often lately barely any, He we all of the drought streaming’s.
El Niño- an irregularly occurring and complex series of climatic changes affecting the equatorial Pacific region and beyond every few years, characterized by the appearance of unusually warm, nutrient-poor water off northern Peru and Ecuador, typically in late December.
This year they are “saying” that it is an El Niño year and as a lot of people are nervous in my canyon, because of flooding, I couldn’t be more excited for it.
Typically it comes late December and pushed through almost all of January for us here in SoCal. It’s the rain we have been looking for and desperately waiting for.
Sadly because of the heavy fire season we had in 2018 there are a lot more hazards now. One fire #HolyFire on Twitter was right near our home and luckily did not come close enough for evacuation, but debris flows and flowing and things are going to start getting muddy around here, and you know what that means? Muddin, I really hope during this month we find some time to take the truck out and go play.
Rain, rain, come and stay… please oh please let me go play…
Living. Loving. Prepping to go Mudding.
